About ACML

The Association of Construction Materials Laboratories Limited (ACML) was established in 1990 in Hong Kong. The Association has remained an active and registered organization since its incorporation.

ACML was formed as an industry association related to construction materials laboratories. Its non‑profit legal structure reflects its role as a professional and representative body within the construction sector, rather than as a commercial enterprise.

With over three decades of history, ACML has developed alongside the growth of Hong Kong’s construction and infrastructure industry, supporting an environment where materials testing, quality assurance, and technical standards are increasingly emphasized. 

Vision

To support the continued development of Hong Kong’s construction industry by promoting professionalism, integrity, and good practice in  construction materials testing and laboratory services.

Objectives

• To provide a  platform for communication and collaboration among construction materials laboratories and related stakeholders
• To promote  good professional practice and awareness of quality, testing, and technical standards
• To encourage the  exchange of knowledge and experience within the industry
• To support ongoing industry development in response to  technical, regulatory, and industry changes
• To represent the  collective interests of construction materials laboratories where appropriate
